You are purchasing a hand-dyed skein of fingering weight/sock yarn AND three (3) 10g sidekick coordinating super-mini skeins in the same base. This base is returning to Groovy Hues Fibers because we were able to resource it again! It takes color like a dream, and it's SO bouncy and holds up so well for socks, hats, and garments. It's spun with superwash Corriedale as opposed to Merino, so while it will not have the smooth, shiny drape of Merino, it will be tough wearing, and still soft enough to wear next to the skin. Even better - it's slightly less costly than merino, so you will eventually save enough to buy even MORE yarn!

NOTE: Photos of stand-alone full skeins are just to show detail - you will be receiving the set described above and below.

Full Skein: "Stolen Kisses at Rock 'n Glow Lanes" is part of the Groovy Hues Fiber "Hurry Up Summer!" 2024 collection. It's reactive in blacklight (NOT glow in the dark!). It's sure to give you butterflies in your tummy! Remember those sultry summer nights when bowling alleys really needed the income, and they invited teens to come out at midnight on Friday and Saturday nights, turned the house lights down and the blacklights up? Remember meeting a new guy, gal, non-binary or other-gendered pal there? Remember that first secret, nervous, giggly kiss by the soda machine? Well, I remember a few from several of those guys, gals, AND other-gendered pals from the 90s and early 00s, and these speckles and splashes of blacklight reactive colors on a cream background will NEVER forget to call in September or fall in love with your backstabbing BFF!

We love for folks to have options, so these three sidekicks are different from the other "Stolen Kisses" sets - those have two "Primary" colors in larger minis. These are secondary colors - Count the Traffic Cones, Grape Slurpee, and My Boyfriend's BMX on 10-gram Itty-Bitty-Mini skeins - and sure, they look a bit Halloween-y on their own, but when matched to the coordinating yarn, they aren't scary at all! They're reactive in blacklight (NOT glow in the dark!). Use it for cuffs/heels/toes on socks, or use it in a striping sequence ... or save them for Halloween if you really want - however you desire!

It is recommended you purchase the amount needed to finish your project because no two lots will be the same. Kettle-dyed yarn differs greatly from lot to lot.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Please ask all questions before purchase as returns are not accepted unless the shop has made an error (i.e., shipping the wrong item).
  • All yarn is photographed in a light box and adjusted as well as possible for white balance. Not all screens will depict color in the same way, and your screen may vary slightly from what you see in-person.
  • As this is hand-dyed, no two skeins will be exactly alike, and therefore may differ slightly from what you see in photographs. When using multiple skeins for a project, alternate skeins between rows to achieve an overall blended effect.
  • Product care: Although this is superwash wool, hand-washing in cold water with baby shampoo or extremely gentle wool wash is always recommended and preferred for extending the life of your project. Do not soak for long periods of time unless garment is unusually soiled. You may see some color release in the first wash. This does not affect the colorfastness of the yarn, nor is it a dyer error. It is recommended when working with different colors for one project, to snip a small amount from each, and wash together to ensure there is no bleeding into one another. Roll finished garment in a clean towel and lay flat to dry. Blocking pins on foam squares is recommended to keep the desired shape.
