You are purchasing a READY TO SHIP skein of hand-dyed sock yarn that is 100g and 400yd. 80% Superwash Merino Wool and 20% Nylon, 2-ply. This yarn will produce a beautifully stunning shawl, cowl, hat, or possibly some gorgeous socks. I expect this yarn to work up fabulously, but due to the kettle dyed nature, you should not plan on perfectly matching socks from a yarn such as this. And no two skeins will ever be the same, so if you purchase more than one for a project, plan to alternate skeins every other row for a blended effect.
This colorway is called “A Broken Frame” and was dyed as part of the Exquisite Yarn & Fiber Community’s January dyer’s challenge. It is all of the colors of Depeche Mode’s album A Broken Frame, with some artistic license taken with the dye job. Gold, bronze wheat, blue-gray, red, green, and shots of cream with speckles of gray and brown are kettle-dyed to blend together beautifully.
