Item Availability

All items in the shop are ready-to-ship unless otherwise stated as made-to-order or unless they are marked as a “preorder.” If the item is “made to order” or “preorder” status, shipping times will be stated in the individual listing.

Yarn Preparation

Your yarn and fiber have been dyed with professional acid dyes, citric acid or white vinegar, and water. I do not use wool washes or scented chemicals of any kind, unless it expressly states so in the individual yarn listing. From time to time, certain fluorescent colorways require an extra special wash to remove excess dyes. Your items have been water-rinsed and tested for colorfastness. Gentle handwashing in COLD water is *always* recommended, regardless of superwash content. Please take care when laundering your finished product – long soaks are unnecessary unless you have been crafting in a mudbath 🙂  Never use bleach, Oxiclean, or other harsh detergents on your yarn.

Thank you so much for your interest and enthusiasm! If you have any questions, please contact me at any time!

Returns and exchanges

There will be absolutely no refunds or returns issued unless I have made an egregious error in producing your item. All of my listings explain my items thoroughly, and photos are as true to color as I can possibly get them. I do not alter photos to look different than they do in real life. They are photographed with white lights and white backgrounds to show off how they would appear in a daylight setting. Understand that all monitors and screens are different, and what you see on your screen may not be the same as what someone else sees. This has never been an issue, but it needs to be stated nevertheless!

Please read the entire listing and ask ALL questions before buying to ensure you are purchasing the item you want!

***PLEASE do not open your yarn package with scissors or a knife! I do NOT issue refunds if a buyer has cut through his/her yarn or spinning fiber! Sorry!*** Your items have been packaged in such a way that they may easily be torn open with fingers – sharp objects are not necessary at any time.

I accept PayPal at this time. You do not need to have a PayPal account in order to use your credit card through them, although I highly recommend getting an account. It is there for your protection as a buyer. Please understand that if you pay by e-check through PayPal, your item will wait to ship until the check clears. That policy protects both of us!

Shipping charges cover USPS first-class fully-insured shipping under 1 pound, or Priority Mail over 1 pound, plus shipping materials. Your items will come doubly-wrapped for extra protection from the elements. I usually ship within 3-5 business days of receiving payment for ready-to-ship items. Most of the time, your item will ship sooner than that. If I have planned to be out of town, or some unforeseeable reason I cannot ship within the usual timeframe, I will absolutely contact you to make you aware of the delay.

If you need your item shipped with signature-required status, please tell me ahead of time. I am not responsible for stolen mail once it has been marked as “delivered,” as delivered items are not covered under USPS insurance.  If you have mail that tends to “walk away,” it is highly recommended that you contact me before I ship your item to have it marked as signature-required. Failure to do so is at the buyer’s risk.

If you have any questions or concerns about shipping, please inquire before buying!

Additional policies and FAQs

All of my items come from a smoke-free home, but we are owned by two lazy house cats. These cats are blissfully unaware of how fun yarn can be, so they do not touch the items I make and they are not permitted to play near where my studio items are stored. But, if you’re very cat-sensitive, I’m just letting you know that we do share our space with two of these lovely creatures!

I can only take custom orders of sweater quantities of 5 or more skeins. I am not able to produce custom orders for fewer skeins at this time.

My items are made from high-quality material – animal fibers as well as synthetic and plant fibers are used. If you are allergic to any type of fiber or you are ethically opposed to wool/animal fibers, please be assured that I separate my yarns in storage so they do not contaminate one another with stray fibers, but I do have all types of fiber in my home. I do offer vegetarian/vegan/animal-free items from time to time and it will clearly state that on the listing when it is available. If the listing does not state this, then animal products have been used in the creation of that item.

If in doubt, please ask before purchasing! Always happy to answer questions!

Enjoy, and happy fibering!
